James Rumsey-Merlan, PhD
Dr. James Rumsey-Merlan is the director of Pro Admissions. He was born in Sydney, Australia. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Chicago. He obtained his masters and his PhD from Princeton University in literature. He has been a successful admissions consultant in Australia, China, the United States and throughout Latin America.

José Manuel Lleras
José Lleras is a Senior Consultant at ProAdmissions. He was born in Bogotá, Colombia. He has an undergraduate degree in psychology from the Universidad de los Andes in Colombia and a master's degree in creative writing from the University of Leeds in the UK.
Mariana Mosquera
Mariana Mosquera was born in Bogotá, Colombia. She trained in journalism and international relations at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, in Bogotá. She has experience creating journalistic content and managing public relations across different media. She is a competent user of Spanish, French, English, and Mandarin. At ProAdmissions she works on the editorial team and is an interview coach extraordinaire.
Camila Vélez Valencia, PhD
Camila has a doctorate in Comparative Literature from Yale University. She is interested in the intersection between craft and storytelling and loves constructing stories in compelling ways. Helping prospective students find and tell their own stories is what she does best.
